Things I Don't Understand

// Leggings worn as pants.

// When someone asks me if we're going on vacation this summer or any summer.

// People who forget that the same traffic laws apply where you're a tourist as they do where you live.

// Algebra.

// Why anyone cares what strangers do with their personal lives.

// People that have the time to spend writing angry hateful comments to strangers on the internet.

// Why flex schedules and naps at work aren't basic employee benefits.

// The appeal of graphic novels.

// People who rely solely on social media for their news.

// Group chats when you're only talking to one person.

// Why someone won't pay me to read books and lay on the beach all day.

// Where summer is!

What don't you understand?

  1. Omg, I HATE when someone tells me "news" and then says they saw it on Facebook. No! Do your research! I do not understand why it's so hard to imitate a craft/art project/recipe after watching a tutorial. They make it look so easy! Nor do I understand why the Game of Thrones writers needed to write something so incredibly heart-breaking for their episode last night. Never have I cried so much for a TV show.

  2. That's because leggings are not pants. They aren't even sold in the same section of stores as pants, they're with hosiery. That should be the first clue, but people seem very very confused.

  3. i don't understand why people hate on birkenstocks. they are SO comfy and hello, they've definitelychanged their styles! i also don't get people who think they can butt in line. this lady rolled up to me, asked if i was in line (i said Yes) and then she proceeded to stand in front of me. So i said "HEY! THE LINE UP IS BEHIND ME, NOT IN FRONT OF ME" #rudebitches #homeydontplaydat

  4. I never understood why anyone would take time out of their day to be ugly to someone else....behind the keyboard of the computer. Do they feel all big since they are hiding behind the keyboard or something? I don't get it. Anytime someone starts a sentence with, "I saw on Facebook where..." I just tune them out. Not interested. I don't understand why no one will pay me to sit at home and read and play with my dogs.

  5. haha leggings are totally pants when you have a long tank - shhh. I know its a faux pas. I do also check twitter for news - but from actual news twitter pages.

    I agree with many of these though - like algebra - why is this even necessary! I also dont understand mean comments. Like get a life internet trolls - so unnecessary.

  6. So many of these.
    What don't I understand? Total strangers passing judgement about something as meaningless to THEIR lives as a tattoo or hair color. That's one for today.

  7. I wish people would just mind their own business!! Who cares what anyone else does?

  8. Leggings and tunics are a staple for me but that's not really leggings as pants since you can't see my ass. But I agree with all of these and right now I especially agree with the nap sentiment.

  9. But isn't reading blogs just caring about what strangers do with their lives? I see your point, though.

    And I am on team leggings as pants, but they have to be solid (like, yoga pants material) and the shirt definitely has to be long!

  11. i don't understand why people write nasty comments on the internet either, especially ones where they had to go out of their way to do so. a couple days ago, someone commented on a post of mine from 2 years ago with a really nasty hurtful comment and i just don't get it.
    i wear leggings as pants. i'm sorry. i make sure my booty is covered, does that count?
    i am one of those awful people with the news. i get mine from the skimm or from my husband, i do not like to seek out news. i'm sorry :-|
