Sea La Vie - 5/20
Look finally who made it to Blogland this week! Let's get started talking about all the things currently going on in beach life.
// Finished The Year We Turned Forty and started Reconstructing Amelia, I'm really really into Reconstructing Amelia and already thinking of people I can recommend it too.
// The Blue Crab Festival was Sunday, it was much bigger this year than in years past which is a good thing in my book. My mom and my Aunt bought painted tiles they'd been drooling over for a year while I bought Wow-Wow shrimp and tickets to kids rides. The Wow-Wow shrimp was totally worth the $12 price tag. Seafood festivals are expensive Y'all.
// Monday was my birthday so of course that means no work if you work on your birthday we need to talk. No one should be working on the holiday of you. I was hoping the above average temps would continue so I could enjoy a little beach sun and book reading instead it was the coldest day in May. So I clean my beach access, took a long walk on the beach, and bought some old lady shorts because I'm an old lady now yo and showing my ass around town in short shorts is not my idea of cool.
// Works been crazy, rain has been keeping us from finishing the t-ball season, and if summer break doesn't arrive soon someone is going to throttle a kid. Teacher, parent, coach, I don't know who but end of school attitudes are out in full force.
What's been going on in your world?
