Sea La Vie - 5/12
// Finished The Island by Heather Graham and moved on to Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys and as usual I will be picking up 5 hold books from the library that showed up at the same time. At least I have a nice long birthday weekend with which to read them.
// T-ball was supposed to be over last night but thanks to thunderstorms a week ago we have one more make-up week to go. At least T-ball is more enjoyable than karate.
// This weekend in things to do we have the local Blue Crab Festival, I missed last year's event because I was sick but I'm not missing it again this year. Mom will be here early Sunday morning so we can be the heat and the festival crowds.
// I stopped by the beach Tuesday morning on the way back from school drop off and was visited by loads of jellyfish washed up on the beach. I have one picture with 8 beached jellyfish in it and you could see them dotting the shoreline up and down the coast. I hope they start to clear out soon, swimming weather is almost here!
// I'm counting down the days until school ends so we can all spend some time in our PJ's being lazy on weekdays. No school drop off and pick up means no pants for days!
No links this week, I just haven't been in a web surfing mood lately.
Happy Weekending!

Happy birthday weekend! Jealous of your no pants situation. Working from home as an option has come up at work a lot this week and I just keep pointing out how not having to put on real clothes is a HUGE plus.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday weekend!
ReplyDeleteYuck, jellyfish are so gross, they need to go away before people start swimming! Hope you have a great birthday weekend!!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for some festivals to start up in our area! Enjoy your long birthday weekend with books! :)
ReplyDeleteUgh I hate jelly fish!!! The crab festival sounds like lots of fun, I hope you enjoy it!!! Chris's birthday is this weekend too!!! Happy Birthday!!! I hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletei can't wait for summer!!
ReplyDeleteYum, crabs! Happy birthday! And I can't believe school is almost over! You don't send her to summer camp? Meaning you don't have to work?
ReplyDeleteI just read a book called The Island this weekend! But the one I read was by Elin Hildenbrand. Maybe I'll try this one next!
ReplyDeleteOur last day of school is June 8. I cannot wait until I have a 3 month reprieve from that damn pickup and drop off line.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! I got a couple library books, which is not a crazy amount, BUT I didn't realize the Inkheart series was 600-700 pages per book, so I'll be hustling to get them read before the return date, too. :P I only go into the office a couple days a week, but I still have a weekly countdown until I can go back to not wearing real clothes.
ReplyDeleteyay for birthday weekend reading - i know i am super behind so i hope it all went well :) and omg jellyfish. i am terrified of them. yay for no pants for days!
