Confess On Wednesday

// Any discussion about weight and/or eating habits makes me uncomfortable. I can't commiserate without feeling like you're thinking I sure wish that skinny bitch would shut up and no one wants to hear a skinny girl complain about being too skinny. So let's just talk about something else, mmmkay?

// The offseason here is hard on our budget especially this year with the number of unexpected expenses that popped up. So while I hate to see my town and beach filling up with rude, drunk, feeding the birds tourists I love that they are spending their money and I am benefiting from it via Tyson's paycheck.

// On Monday morning when my spring break's over and you have to go back to school alarm went off I wanted to throw something. Then when I saw the high school bus picking up kids an hour later I got even more mad. I don't want my kid to grow up too fast but not rushing or arguing with a 6-year-old at 6:30 AM seems like heaven right now.

// K and I love to explore, last weekend we found a place with a view of where the ocean meets the inlet from across the marsh. You can see the beach, you can see waves, AND you get to see all the marsh and it's rugged beauty. Not only that I didn't see a tourist in site, now where's my lottery winnings? (The picture above is actually of this confession)

// A couple of weeks ago K went on a field trip to Publix now she's off to Petco, I personally find that the most ridiculous thing ever. What they're doing is advertising to my kid so she comes home and begs for shit she saw, dead ass wrong.

// I'm hoping to find out what color K's t-ball shirt is this week so I can get one in a matching color maybe with her name on the back, I've totally decided to be THAT mom!

What are you confessing this week?

  2. Are they learning about budgets or how to pick items for meals from these places?

  3. Those are weird field trips, but I guess if they are learning about healthy food and pet care then maybe it's okay? I love that y'all have fun adventures!

  5. Those definitely seem like weird places to go for field trips... What is the point? And heck yes to the matching shirts- I can't wait to be that parent!! ;)

  6. I'm sorry? A field trip... to a grocery store? What is the point of that? We went to nature preserves and colonial homesteads and NYC.

  7. The field trips to stores are so bizarre! I can't even imagine what the school is thinking!

  8. That first one...I get it...not because I'm skinny...because my best girlfriend back home is. Sure, she participates in triathlons, but that's not what makes her skinny. She's naturally built that way. When she was in high school, people called her "Big Bird" because she is tall with naturally curly blonde hair, and she's got super skinny legs. We used to HATE going shopping together because every body problem I had, she wished for...and every body problem she had, I wished for. But we've grown to love each other, accept each other, and have compassion for each other so much, that now, whenever I visit her, she begs me to go shopping one day, so I can help give her advice what looks good on her because our friendship is that kind where we can be honest with each other about everything!
