Sea La Vie - 4/8

Vereen Memorial Gardens

// A weekend trip to the local memorial garden last weekend didn't produce as many spring flower pictures as I had hoped but the azaleas were blooming and the above shot of the park entrance might be on of my favorite pictures this season so far.

// We got t-ball uniforms and they are burgundy, after unsuccessfully searching the internet for a matching shirt I had the brilliant idea just to get a shirt from the manufacturer listed on the tag in K's shirt. Found them on Amazon for $5 with free shipping, ended up having to order two different colors because I wasn't sure which matched from the internet pictures. I'm only out $10 either way and I'll have my mommy shirt.

// In weather news here mother nature can't make up her mind, the temps go from freezing to summer over overnight. This whole weekend it's going to be in the 50's and by Monday we're back to 78. Mother nature needs to get herself together and provide me the comfortable spring temps I've been waiting for.

// In book news I've read nothing, I know Goodreads says I'm reading The Passenger and I'm going to start it soon since it's due on the 11th. I've been doing things like t-ball and karate 4 days a week which has really cut into my reading time but I love doing them with K so I'm not going to complain. I do think I'm going to quit the library for a bit and read something off my to-read pile which may or may not be a little out of control anyway. There's no deadline to finish reading the books you own.

Do you ever read articles from onlyinyourstate.com? This one about 13 restaurants in SC with jaw dropping views had me adding restaurants to a list like I do books. The Fixer Upper's bought a non-fixer-upper, I'm interested to see what they do with it. Vending machines for books are such a brilliant idea but apparently the idea has had a hard time taking off, I think the Fullerton Public Library has the right idea!

Happy Weekending!

  1. I love azaleas! I'm having them in my next house. No room here.

  2. Ohhhh that picture is so pretty!!! Sounds like you got a good deal on your shirts! I have a list of restaurants that I haven't yet gone to, as well as a list of dishes to order...that I have been working through here in Birmingham! Mmm food!

  4. Those are such pretty flowers!

Good find on the mom shirt! I have a blue one for Erica's old cheer team and now I need to find a pink one for the new gym. Probably easier than burgundy.

  5. Love that picture of the entrance, it's so pretty! Nothing looks like that around here yet, we are actually supposed to get a few inches of snow tomorrow!

  6. Azaleas make everything prettier this time of year! I'm loving our cool mornings because it's one fewer day in three digit temps. I mean I guess part of the thrill of buying books is reading the back cover, so maybe that's why the vending machines aren't working out?

  7. This crazy weather is wreaking havoc on all the plants, right?? They were about to bloom and then boom, cold. Now they might never bloom :(.

  8. That photo is stunning. My fam in Boston had snow last week and I was so confused. Snow? We're in April?! Apparently the weather didnt get the memo this year.
