Sea La Vie - 3/22
// I finally started cleaning and purging last weekend, I've got 4 trash bags of stuff ready to go to Goodwill this weekend with two closets and under bed storage still left to purge.
// T-Ball started Tuesday night, I noticed a lady there with her son and I knew I had seen her before. I ran through all the places we might have run into each other even asking if her son was in K's kindergarten class. Finally, I figured out she was the first local I ever met after moving to the area 3 years ago this month. K, Tyson, and I were having a beach day one day when her family was having a beach day. Our kids played together all day and shared snacks, it still surprises me what a small town this is.
// This week I bought my first Groupon in years, I couldn't pass up a buy one get one admission for Brookgreen Gardens for K and myself. I've been waiting to take K to see the storybook garden and the butterfly house then they announced special Lego sculptures would be on display until September so I knew this was our year to go. We'll take a picnic and the fancy camera and make a day of it sometime after spring break but before the summer crowds show up, we do love to explore new places.
// I've been trying to read The Library at Mount Char but my mind won't settle enough to concentrate on the story. Then the library notified me I have three 14 day reads waiting for pick up and I might have kind of panicked. Why do all my new release holds always show up at the same time!?
// Spring break is here, this morning I will be laying in bed until 5 minutes before work starts just like you should when you work from home in you damn pajamas all day. I still want to know why school starts at 7:30 AM, that's craziness.
Before Millenials, there was Generation X, the best generation of course. Want to know why we're the best? Then read this list. My Myers-Briggs personality type is the rare INFJ, the warning label for me couldn't be more true (if you need to know your Myers-Briggs personality type you can find out here). A little flowchart to help you decide what to read next, or if you're like me you can just look up all the books and add the one's you like to your to-read list. I have no qualms about giving up a book but some people do, here's how to know when it's ok.
Happy Weekending

the library always does that to me....makes me wait for MONTHS for books and then they all come in at once. how is one supposed to read 20 books in three weeks?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your spring break!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a must buy from Groupon.
All my books are always ready at the same time. So much weird, unnecessary stress!
ReplyDeleteAnd I was about to give up on a book this week because I wasn't feeling it, but I was lazy (it was an audiobook which requires going through two apps and two libraries for something new) so I kept with it, and I think I might be glad I did. I have to finish before I know how I really feel about it.
oh my gosh that always happens at the library. so annoying. i try not to get too request happy but it always happens. 730 is super early, i don't remember what time i started school back in the day but it absolutely was not that early.
ReplyDeletePurging feels soooo good!! But then I buy new stuff & that's ok too. At least the new clothes fit & the kids play with the new toys ;). Happy exploring! Always nice to do it with a deal.
ReplyDeleteI love purging stuff, such a great feeling! I hope you had a great Spring break weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am an INFJ too!!!! I took that test way back in 2013. The Brookgreen Gardens sounds fabulous! I was reading the gen x thing and Chris was playing pacman this weekend. I have so much anxiety during that game!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to go read all the links you posted. They all look interesting to me. I don't give up books easily, but I'm always interested to read why others do. I picked up books from library hold as well, and only one is for my challenge bonus round. Since I host it, I try to complete it...but if I don't, whatever. :)
