// I may have purposely failed to tell Tyson about my tattoo appointment on Thursday because I didn't want to argue about who would be watching K. He is always dead set against leaving her with anyone but family which leaves me with a kid most of the time. 99.9% of the time I'm super happy with that arrangement but there's that pesky .1% left over where I'm in a bind.
// I don't post happy birthday on someone's page just because Facebook told me it was so and so's birthday. I don't even communicate with most of those so and so's the other 364 days a year so why send out and awkward FB birthday wish? I've even changed my settings so Facebook should not notify people of my birthday because I don't want anyone to feel obligated to wish me an awkward happy birthday.
// I can't get enough sleep lately, I sleep all night and then feel tired all day. On the weekends, I'm sleeping in and taking naps before going to bed early. Why do I need all the sleep, as you get older you're supposed to need less sleep.
// I've figured out a way to give up my bed to our house guests but not my
// This weekend we started watching a show on A&E called 60 Days In, where non-criminal people voluntarily spend 60 days in a jail undercover as inmates. After three shows I'm just gleefully waiting for inmates to kick Roberts ass because being a former officer I could see it coming episode one and because I want to kick guys like Robert in the ass myself when I meet them.
// Even though I hate cooking I watch all the fun cooking competition shows. Last week the local news reported that the next season of Top Chef will be filmed in Charleston and I'm wondering how to become a food blogger ASAP so I can get invited to one of their cooking/tasting events.
// It's only March but I'm waiting for the school's field day because I LOVE field day.
What are you confessing this week?
60 Days In sounds really interesting, I will have to check it out!! I hate the awkward happy birthday to people I never talk to, I usually just ignore it and only say it to people I actually speak to at least randomly throughtout the year.
ReplyDeleteI hate facebook happy birthdays and took my birthday off, too. It's so weird to have to respond back. Then again, I'm not a huge facebooker, anyway. Top Chef is the only food show I watch! It doesn't do the best job of highlighting local stuff (like the judge for a round might be local and the chefs may use his/her kitchen, but it doesn't tell you about the restaurant itself) but they DO have all kinds of cool tasting events and stuff attended by food VIPs so yeah, please get into that so you can see Gail Simmons in person and snap a pic of her shoes. She always wears the best shoes!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way on FB! If I don't talk to you normally, I'm not wishing you a happy birthday. Easy enough.
ReplyDeleteI've actually found myself watching Forged in Fire if I catch it. And I hate shows like that. That really sucks about the babysitting arrangements, although, I would have done the same thing.
ReplyDeleteNot a field day fan!
ReplyDeleteI always wish people happy birthday, even people I don't know if I am in a restaurant or something. It's a nice wish, no harm, and I don't feel awkward.
We used to not leave Erica with anyone but family but now that she's older, we try to arrange sleepovers with her friends if we have something big to do like a concert. Otherwise, she comes along.
ReplyDeleteI pick and choose who I say happy birthday to. For instance, if it's a sorority sister who I haven't spoken to in awhile, I'll say happy birthday. If it's some random connect on FB, then usually I won't.
Jared and I saw a promo commercial for 60 days in and I'm definitely interested in watching it! We have a weird fascination with all shows related to jail, law enforcement, etc!
ReplyDeleteOmg I don't think anyone could pay me enough to spend 60 days in jail! And I didn't know you could turn off the birthdays notification, I am totally doing that!
