The One With The Weekly Confessions Post

// My car came with Sirius radio free for a year, so I've been living in the 90's and the 2000's as far as my music goes lately.

// I'm struggling hard with my reading challenge, I was determined to finish but then all the books not on my challenge list started saying "read me, read me".

// I was excited Little K wanted to sign up for T-ball until I found out it was on Tuesday and Thursday nights, we go to karate on Monday and Wednesday. My life is about to be all about driving a kid around for a few weeks.

// The tooth fairy left about $3 more than she wanted to but that's what happens when dad is around.

// If I don't find some Girl Scouts with cookies soon I'm going to lose my mind, how does my sister in Europe get cookies before I do??

// I don't think kindergartener's who can barely read and write should have research projects, guess how much a kindergartner can contribute to a research project assignment and then guess who gets to make up the slack?

// I've fallen off the happiness train and am looking for a good place to jump back on. Morning meditation sounds like the place to start but I sure do miss my Stop, Breathe, and Think app.

// I wish my house had the same new car smell my car has, I love that smell.

// I'm ready for summer and warm weather and beach days, let's make that happen okay? Okay!

// I've been really worried about a dear friend lately but sometimes in life we just have to let people make their mistakes and hope that they get it together sooner rather than later.

What are you confessing today?

  1. Jesus, all I remember from kindergarten is teddy bear picnic and getting REAL excited when it was time to cover marbles in paint and roll them around in a box to make 'art.' Kids these days.

  2. I feel you on the Girl Scout cookie situation, I can't find any either this year and I am craving them so bad! And kindergarten research projects? What the heck, they are expecting way too much from little kids (& their parents!)

  4. kayla is 7 and just starting research project. we still had to help her but she did all the writing...and that was painful so i can't imagine having to do this for a kindergartner!!

  5. What does a kindergartener even want to research? Ridiculous. You're a good mom for being K's taxi service. A lot of parents wouldn't. I'm reading 10% Happier by Dan Harris right now and I like it so far... I see it's already on your TBR but perhaps you can move it up and then we can discuss! It's part memoir, but he also goes into the things that helped him cope with stress and anxiety and what he learned covering world religions for ABC News.

  6. I take the child to practice 3 nights a week, sometimes 4 if there's a comp or a weekend practice. It's enough for me.

When I drive the husband's car and I listen to Sirius, it's on Hair Band Nation and nothing else.

  9. All I listen to is 90's and early 2000's music too. It's called my Spotify playlists hahaha. The new car smell is amazing and should be cherished. It doesn't last forever. Girl scout cookies, they are everywhere around here and I am trying to avoid them like the plague.

  10. I downloaded Stop, Breathe, and Think last week but still haven't used it.
Remember, the book challenge is for fun. If the books you have remaining are a chore, or you don't feel like reading, then no worries. Plus, you have 2+ more months to do it.

  12. I've been avoiding signing my kids up for activities because I want to be lazy as long as possible. Plus, my kids haven't expressed (verbally) interest in taking classes.

And research project in kindergarten?! It's my friend who's second grader gets a grade in creativity. How? Why? Huh?
