// Friday night we spent the evening at the car dealership, my kid behaved the whole time and all the employees commented on how well behaved she was. I always smile and say thank you but I secretly I want to say because she knows better than to be an asshole in public.
// Saturday, Sunday, and Monday were spent laying around feeling like I was half dead, not the way I had intended to spend my entire long weekend but it is what it is. At least, I'm well rested.
// I was in the worst mood Thursday, so pissy I tried to avoid direct communication with people when at all possible. Only bad things can come of direct communication when I'm pissy.
// I'm off work today so Little K and I can attend the Lego Kidsfest in Charlotte this afternoon. She thinks we're going tomorrow so she's going to be pretty surprised when she gets to leave school at lunch time!
// Tomorrow I'm having lunch with an old friend and then I plan on reading my little heart out before coming home on early on Sunday for some 70 degree beach time.
Hello fellow dog lovers, I know we can all relate to this life before and after dog cartoon. If I ever need a passport picture again I'm going to call Prince up for some tips, this guy looks fabulous for his age. Finally, I heart Amy Schumer but it made me mad she felt the need to post something about Taylor Swift's thigh gap on IG after the Grammy's. Body shaming skinny girls is still body shaming, stop it. Comedian or no pointing out something about another woman's body and making fun of it isn't very nice, you don't like it when people do it to you.
Happy Weekending!

Agreed - it's still shaming.
ReplyDeleteHave fun this weekend!
Not cool Amy...not cool at all!!! Love the before and after dog cartoons, they are so true!!! Especially the eating one!!! We kick our dogs outside when we eat because we cant stand them staring and begging. Tisk tisk!
ReplyDeleteLove that you have a well behaved child. People probably comment because it is a rare thing these days. Parents are such assholes sometimes hahaha. Sorry you weren't feeling well last weekend but sounds like the Lego event and the beach weather will be making up for it! Love that you are surprising her today!!!
What a nice surprise for K! Hope she loved the experience!
ReplyDeletefeels so good when you know your parenting is on point because your kid isn't acting like a heathen in public! omg some of the behavior i've seen in restaurants from kids while their parents do nothing is appalling.
ReplyDeleteUgh body shaming is the worst, I don't get why people, even comedians, can't just practice the golden rule! And yay for Little K, she's awesome!
