Hey there, long time now see. I've been off dream chasing as my last post said and I'm still dream chasing but I've got a little down time so I thought I would stop in and say hi on a Friday.
Beach Things - We went to the oyster festival in Ocean Isle Beach last weekend and it was fabulous. I didn't get any oysters this year but the seafood chowder I opted for didn't disappoint. Sunrise finally moved to after school drop off time so I'm enjoying some morning beach time every day, it's not a bad way to start a week day when you have to be awake anyway.
Kelli Things - I got to have an extended playdate with my local friends last Sunday morning and it was fabulous and refreshing. I'm sure you saw all my excited social media posting, not sorry. When you get featured on a big website that's something to be excited about. Just in case you missed it you can see my picture featured on the COASTAL LIVING website here.
Kid Things - We went to our first book fair and while K was excited I was disappointed. I'm pretty sure those things were bigger when I was little, maybe it just looked bigger because I was little. We also go on our first field trip next week, you didn't really think I was going to miss out on out of the house time did you?
Book Things - Book reading things have been mostly on hold while I prepare for NaNoWriMo, I miss reading all the books but sometimes dream chasing means giving up the fun just for a little bit. Just a few short weeks and I'll be ready to replace the story my brain is writing with one it didn't.
Happy weekending!

ReplyDeleteOmg, book fairs! I forgot all about them, but they were super exciting in grade school. My parents gave us money and we could pick out anything we wanted, even if was something stupid like a bunch of pretty erasers and not books at all (but usually there were books). Congrats on the photo feature!
ReplyDeletecongrats on being featured, that is awesome!
ReplyDeletei think a lot of things were bigger when we were little. i think some things seem that way because we were little, but then i think there are some things that actually were bigger lol
You do have the best pictures, so this is no surprise that you were featured! And I agree, some stuff did seem a lot bigger when I was little. Was the field trip as scary as you thought? Haha
