Kelli Things - I walked the dog alone several times this week, it's nice to walk a dog that I don't fly behind like some cartoon character where the dog is really walking me. I enjoyed picking up books at the library alone and then reading them after Little K went to bed early. I also got to have a play date/dinner with my bestest local friend, it counts as Kelli time even though I took Little K because I sent her off to play and then ignored her. Just kidding.....kind of. I'm getting use to this new found alone time and I'm not hating it.
Kid Things - My kid came home with the PE student of the week award, obviously she gets that from her daddy because she doesn't get it from my lazy ass. She also decided she should be a farmer when she grows up according to her about me school homework. We don't even visit farms or know any farmers so I'm not sure where this career choice came from.
Book Things - I started reading The Princess Bride which was different and I wasn't sure where to start but I got it now. Next up in my pile of to read things Artemis Fowl, Inkheart, and The Cuckoo's Calling. Hopefully one of these new books will quell the Harry Potter desire burning in my heart, if not you can expect to see me reading Harry Potter again soon.
Beach Things - I don't have any beach things. Say what?!? That's right I haven't seen the beach since Saturday night last weekend when I tried to commune with the full moon. I'm planning a beach Saturday this weekend before the withdrawal symptoms hit.
I really loved this story about how technology influenced the x-generation, I had forgotten about Napster. I want to send a message in a bottle, I love that this one was found after more than 100 years at sea! In bookworm things the Huffington Post released a fall book preview with 33 books you don't want to miss, I love books I don't want to miss. Last I love HGTV and chances are you do too, well so do these celebrities. See they are just like us (in my sarcasm font).
Happy Weekending

um, that's what playdates for mom and kid are - the kids play and leave the moms alone. don't feel bad; we do it all the time hahahahah!
ReplyDeleteYay for more Kelli time! I ignore my kids all the time. It's called "teaching them independence". And I clicked on that Huff post about books so fast :). Have a great long weekend!
ReplyDeleteLittle K is my favorite! If she wants to be a farmer then you guys just need to move up to PA ;-)
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to have some alone time! No beach things, say what?! Going to check out the Huffpost article. All about the books! ;)
ReplyDeleteI guess the puppy is not a good walker? LOL. I hate trying to walk my three dogs by myself.
ReplyDeleteOhhh I really liked that early 80's baby article because it is so true!! I hate when people group us in with millennials because we are so not the same!!!!! That is hilarious that she wants to be a farmer without ever having been on a farm :) I wonder how many times that will change between now and adulthood? You will have to remind her of her early wishes! Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNo shame in reading HP over and over... AND OVER again. I'm doing it right now actually. :) lol
