Kelli Things - I've been making daily morning stops to visit the beach on my way home from school drop off. Sometimes it's a five minute visit and sometimes it's 30, just depends on what else I've got going on. Tyson's boss is on his honeymoon so I've had the house to myself each day for a few hours. Even though I'm working it's mentally pleasing to know I'm here alone enjoying the silence.
Beach Things - Along with the visits above K and I spent some time on the beach Saturday evening. Her playing and me reading, most of the tourist are gone so the beach going is peaceful and not too crowded.
Books Things - I finished and really enjoyed The Lightning Thief, I did have to look up a few of the Greek Mythology references but that's all part of the fun. I'll be reading the other books in the series in the future. I also finished Girl Waits With Gun, a fun historical read full of strong women. I'm now reading The Silkworm and as a second book in a series I haven't been disappointed.
Kid Things - So many kid things going on including wear a color day, national anthem singing at the highs school football game, pictures, and field trips. I'm glad I saved some disposable cash for the start of school. No one warned me how cash expensive school was, well they did but I thought they meant clothes and supplies. Not donuts, shirts, pictures, and field trips. School is a bank breaker yo!
As a rule breaker I love this list of "lady rules" the author breaks all the time, 3, 4, and 6 are broken almost daily in my world. I've talked about tiny houses in this section before but this couple that built their own island are my spirit animal, this is amazing. I love that Britney Spears seems to have her shit together but this video of her pretending not to have her shit together is hilarious. Finally for all my fellow Potterheads, which of these Harry Potter editions would you choose for your shelves? Maybe the better questions which editions will choose you?

the only thing i contribute to is Pizza day! milk day/yogurt day etc, nope. so far, the only supplies Kayla's school has asked for is for the kids to bring a box of dry erase markers for when they do board activities.

ReplyDeleteWow, school photos and field trips already? Unlucky! We haven't had those yet. School pictures always kill me. They're so cute. I have to buy them. And oh my gosh that Britney prank was awesome. I couldn't stop laughing.

ReplyDeleteI am always amazed when my sister starts spouting off all the money each of the kids needs for this that or the other with school! Not to mention how expensive their sports are!!! Those Potterbooks are fun!!!!!!!!!! I would get the Hufflepuff ones because that is what house I was sorted in to.
