Kid Things - Little K and I went to the school on Monday so they could hand me a yellow card with her teachers name on it. I was there for 10 minutes only because Little K insisted we find her classroom so she could peek inside. Her teacher, Mrs. Fields, like the cookie lady. It's going to be a long year. We finished out school shopping last weekend, I decided fighting parents for shoes wasn't even worth the tax discount. Going to the beach while everyone else fights for shoes, now that's the way to spend a weekend!

I don't have anymore "things" for you this week, we've eased into August nice and slow I and I intend to keep up that pace until the 20th.
Learning to care for Little K's hair was a real learning process for me, I can appreciate this ladies struggles and wins in the hair care department. I'm all for the idea of adding British swear words to our language, here's a bloody list of some you might want to help adding. Are we all so really set in our political ways that two men who enjoy each others company can't golf without suspicion of collusion? How great of an example would it set for the country be to see two powerful people with very different views being friends? Last these introvert comics are spot on, if you're an introvert I know you'll appreciate them as much as I did.
Happy Weekending!

kayla's hair is really long but she just slaps it in a pony tail and calls it a day. there are times she wants to get all fancy so she's learning to do her own hair (braids etc) but for the most part, she takes care of her own hair. i just police the hair washing to make sure she does it right!
ReplyDeleteI always have a notebook on me! I like a leather bound one these days.
ReplyDeleteHahaha I saw bloody sometimes but I can totally get behind bollocks and blimey. Maybe some of the others too. I loved your Walmart notebooks and clearly need to find it in my heart to want to go there sometime soon to grab that anchor one.
ReplyDeleteI'll back-to-school shop online or what Staples have their 1 cent sales :D. I already got new shoes from Amazon. Man, why do kids grow so much? I wish I could have new clothes and shoes every few months!!!!! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't done the child's back to school shopping yet. Next week. I'm prepared for the insanity. We have no sales tax in Delaware so every day is a tax holiday :)
ReplyDeleteI love when she spends the night at my in-laws' or with a friend. It's fun for her and free babysitting for us and you can't beat that.
Notebooks are a weakness, I understand. I want to start slipping in some British swear words into everyday conversation.
ReplyDeleteI really cannot pass up cute notebooks either. Its the worst!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the shoes. I would not want to battle the back to school crowds!
