Sea La Vie - 8/28

A little blurry, thank  you cell phone, but still beautiful.

Beach Things - Visited Bama at her beach on Sunday morning, I took pictures of pelicans up close after wading through a tide pool that someone told me had a shark in it to get close. Also found the Holden Beach mailbox and left a note of gratitude for this awesome beach life I live. Tuesday morning it was raining but as I was leaving the school I noticed a hole in the clouds that was glowing from the sun. I headed home the beach way and stopped for pictures, have you ever seen something so beautiful it takes your breath away? This was that kind of morning, and a walk in the rain to see it was more than worth it. Also I have never wished harder for a camera handy that wasn't attached to my cell phone.

Kid Things - The first full week of school was a success, she thinks it's fun. That's how they get your ass, pretty soon it won't be fun anymore and she'll be wondering what the hell happened. Things about school have caught me off guard since day one, I hope that stops soon. Also the lady at karat who wears stretch pants as real pants volunteers in my kids class. Grrrreeeaaatttt (said Kelli in her most sarcastic font). Not only are her clothing choices questionable her kids are assholes. If your kid is an asshole I'm judging you as a parent all damn day.

Kelli Things - Hold the phones I have Kelli things to report! On last Friday I dropped Little K off at school and took a beach walk alone at 7:00 AM. On Sunday we visited Bama's beach and I took a long walk around the end of the island by myself. I even read books with pages in them! One I DNF but still it was a book with adult words in it and I  finished the second book I tried. I might actually have books to review when I show you my books next month.

Weather Things - It's the time of year when all the coastal cities on the east side of the US and Gulf Of Mexico start to watch the Tropics. Erika looks like she has potential to bring a little something to our coast, if's not to powerful it should make for some great pictures. So while I'm stocking up on hurricane supplies I'll also be charging all camera batteries.

Do you know why I as a former C student am more successful than some of my A and B peers? This article does. I wish I could put a copy of this in the backpack of every kid in Little K's class, really sorry about #2 on the list and why doesn't #9 apply to my child? Anybody remember the Foo Fighter's? Go buy their stuff, anyone that can tell the Westboro crazies to suck it like this deserves our support. Public transportation  entertainment at it's finest, so glad this lady had a twitter account. Last every tractor trailer in America needs this, such a great invention.

Happy Weekending!

  2. I love what the Foo Fighters did but I did have to look up what Rickrolling meant because I am old.

My child loves the name of the hurricane for obvious reasons but she's mad it's spelled wrong.

Hooray for Kelli things! It's so important you do stuff for you.

  3. That picture is fantastic and I would never have thought it came from your phone! I had a week of DNF too, ugh, so frustrating. Love that you are getting to do some kid-free things you want to do and Little K enjoys school so far!

  7. YES, that is a gorgeous sky and I think your camera did a fine job capturing the rays and glisten off the water. Hey, any photo is better than no photo, right? LOL on you stocking up for hurricane supplies but also charging your camera's batteries. I hope nothing serious goes your way! Happy weekending!

  8. That picture!!!!! Oh it is so gorgeous!!!! Yay for your Kelli things! I have a book I wish I would have DNF but now I am at 87% and there is no looking back because you cant quit after trying for two weeks and so close to the end lol. Loved the C student article. I was an A student, but I know many people who weren't that great at school that are doing amazing things these days and I have to admit sometimes I wish I wouldn't have focused so hard on getting certain grades because I missed the bigger picture! Have a great weekend!!
