Let Us Confess

A long time ago in a blogland far far away confessing things on Wednesday's use to be a thing. I have some confessions this week so I thought I'd share them on Wednesday, you know for old times' sake.

// The tomatoes on my tomato plants aren't getting any bigger than golf balls before they ripen, I haven't had at least 10 golf ball size not very good tomatoes sooooo I stopped watering them and started buying my fresh tomatoes at the farmer's market twice a week. Screw you tomatoes!

//  I'm jealous of your beach vacation. I don't get to get up early with my family and drive to our awesome weekly ocean front rental. I envy the tourists their ocean front balcony's and decks at sunrise and sunset.

// I washed the walls in my bathroom at 7 AM yesterday morning after walking the dog. They were gross and you could tell because of the shower condensation that runs down the walls. Also another working from home pro because I was sitting at my desk by 7:50 AM ready to work.

// I now want to wash all the walls in my house but the amount of work involved keeps me from actually washing the walls.

// Sometimes I stay home even when I feel like I really want to get out of the house just so I don't have to be on the same streets with tourists. Tourist drivers are fucking nuts and I'm fucking crazy, not a good combo.

// When I go to swim class and other places I have to sit with adults I take a book so I don't have to talk to anyone. The introvert inside just does NOT want to make conversation with strangers, no matter how many friends I might make.

// I skip all of your recipe and workout posts, I don't cook and I don't exercise soooooo.

// I confess I vacuum up enough sand and dog hair each week to make a private beach in my back yard with a little black dog on it.

// I'm counting down the days until I send Little K off to school and I can spend several hours a day in a quiet house working and enjoying the silence.

What do you want to confess?

  1. Love your new header!

I always have a book with me and many times it's to avoid interaction.

  2. ahh the struggles with plants. are they indoor? because if so, it's the roots; tomatoes need a large area to grow and pots just don't give them enough roots.

  3. Love the header! I need to dust all my walls let alone wash them all. So much work! I will always have a book too. Small talk is so awkward.

  4. Are the bottoms of your tomatoes rotting when as the ripen? I asked the horticulturist where I worked about mine that weren't growing and she said based on that and my end rot I had a calcium deficiency. She said I could just add egg shells to help with that or you can buy calcium nitrate/fertilizer with calcium added!

  5. Yay new design! I skip workout and recipe posts, too :) I think we all have our things. Can you just take a Magic Eraser to your walls and save yourself some time?

  7. I skip most of the exercise posts, too. Not for me.

I do the same thing with books because reindeer are not better than people. Books are.

  8. I envy those beach front properties as well. I can't wait to buy one when I win the lottery LOL. I bring books on planes because I don't like chatting. It's not I'm going to make friends with people on planes.
