Do you ever wonder what makes a person who they are? What would you know if you really knew them? Here are some the things you might know about me.
// I wore all black to school every day my 7th grade year. Teenage rebellion at it's finest!
// Pink hair is not my first crazy hair style choice. When I was in high school I shaved the left side of my head, my mom helped me.
// I spent every summer from the time I was eleven until I was 21, floating in Lake Norman at my aunt's house.
// Despite having been ejected from a truck window and being air lifted to a trauma center for emergency surgery I've never broken a bone. That takes talent yo (as my 5 year old would say).
// A group of my friends and I tried out for the 4th grade talent show but were told no because our dance moves weren't synchronized. Dude that's harsh we were 9 year olds with a dream.
// In the 3rd grade I was in a 3rd/4th mix class, do that do that anymore?
// My first pair of glasses had red Sally Jesse Raphael style frames. I picked them out myself, being different has always been my thing.
// That I attended the Alabama June Jam at least two times with my mom and my sister. This is where I learned to hate camping.
// I was dual enrolled at two high schools my senior year, I attended both every day. I received my diploma from one and a varsity letter from the other.
// I have a collection of necklaces given to me mostly by my sister. Their are necklaces from all over the world and I try to alternate wearing them when I have a necklace wearing reason.
// I danced on the bar at Coyote Ugly one night when this non-drinker had to much to drink.
// I have a thing for skulls. My sister gave me skull themed gifts Christmas 2008. She also drew my next tattoo which happens to be a skull.
What would I know about you if I knew you?

i dressed up EVERY DAY for school when i was in grade 9. that was when i actually gave a shit about what i looked like. you can actually see the decline from grade 10-onwards...grade 9 i was dressed to the nines; grade 10 was meh; grade 11 was no makeup but clean clothes; grade 12 was no makeup, messy hair but at least non-wrinkled clothes; grade OAC - pjs and basically rolling out of bed to make it to class haha!
ReplyDeleteI love that your mum helped you shave your head haha!! Love it
ReplyDeleteMy junior and senior year in high school I wore a dress/skirt everyday even in the snow. Craziness. How did you go to two high schools??
ReplyDeleteLOL, I did the Coyote Ugly thing too.. nice to say I did it but not particularly fun nor classy (at least not the one in Austin. I'm too modest for those bartenders!). Hmm if you knew me, you would know that I skew traditional in my lifestyle but I respect those who have done things nontraditionally. You would know I'm loyal, sometimes scared, I like to overthink things, and I love to play devil's advocate and go against what's popular.
ReplyDeletehaha I danced on the bar at Coyote Ugly in... San Antonio, I think. It was the first time I had a drink in the US and I was not prepared for how much alcohol they put in drinks compared to at home. I love that you shaved your head in high school, you were well ahead of the trend!
ReplyDeleteI used to write down what I wore every day. Such a tight ass.
ReplyDeleteI also had Sally Jesse glasses! My glasses were always funky when I wore them.
I seriously LOL'd at "Dude that's harsh we were 9 year olds with a dream." That was so harsh! If you knew me you would know that there was a time in my life (middle of college) when I hated jeans and refused to wear them and instead wore dress pants all of the time. I mean jeans were so uncomfortable...they still are but I got over it and wear them much more often now. Also, you would know that my hair has never been shorter than my shoulders in my entire life, except when it was growing out from birth.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that your mom helped you shave your head! I shaved off my eyebrows in high school and everyone was horrified except my dad, who may have never noticed. I learned to draw them on pretty quickly.
ReplyDeleteWow, no broken bone. That's a miracle!
ReplyDeleteWhy 2 high schools?
Guess if you knew me, you'd know that I talk fast. So fast that I stutter/stumble quite a bit. I also look up a lot and use my hands to talk.
