Sea La Vie - 6/26

// Inside Out - I've always been hesitant to take Little K to the movies, she's a wiggly chatter box and that's not a good combination with places where you have to sit quietly for a few hours in a row. She begged and begged to see Inside Out so we went and we both had fun. I think someone should've reviewed the movie rules with some of the adults (I'm looking at you flash picture of your kids during the movie lady, man with a 1 year old baby, and countless adults going to the bathroom every 5 minutes).

// Farmer's Market - My local farmer's market is open from 10-3 on Wednesday's and Friday's. It's not a big place at all maybe 15 or 20 vendors. When I showed up Wednesday at lunchtime there were total of 5 vendors and one was packing up to go home. What? Luckily the vendors that were left had the two things on my must have list. I'm hoping for better results at lunchtime today.

// Picture Taking - With the heat index over 100 every day and Little K with swim/karate 3 night a week I haven't had time for much picture taking. That all changes next weekend on my 4th of July beach get away. Grandma wants Little K time and I want camera time, win win for everyone!

This use of abandoned shopping mall space is genius, how many abandon malls and stores are there in the US that could be used for this purpose? If your eyes turn red after spending time in the pool here's why, now go get those goggles! For all you true crime lovers out there here are 89 unsolved mysteries just for you.

Have a great weekend!

  3. My Farmer's market was a total dud. Glad you at least got what you wanted. Kids and movies for the most part don't mix, with some exceptions of course.

  4. We took Erica to see Inside Out last weekend and we all loved it! However. The people who took their talking children out of their seats and left them in the doorway to be as loud as they wanted need a good smack upside the head. So rude.

YES to that idea for abandoned shopping malls and even better if they turned them into affordable apartments for low income people. We have a huge one of those abandoned malls in Dover and a pretty significant housing problem in the lower part of the state. This idea would help so much.

  5. I'm always confused when I see people bringing babies into the theater. Doesn't look fun OR courteous! I'm hoping to see Inside Out this weekend :)

  6. Is it sad that I dont know what Inside Out is? I am thinking, yes. I am always so behind on the movies that are coming out! Bummer on the farmer's market. Closing down by lunch doesn't sound like the smartest use of their time...you would think most people would head out there at lunch time on the breaks? That shopping mall turned apartments is so cool!!!! Though...I need a stove...I didn't see one.

  7. Glad you both enjoyed K's first movie together! And yes, instead of just reminding people to turn off their cellphones, there should be a list of other rules as well. And why take a 1 yr old to the movies. WHY? And yes to more camera time. Can't wait to see what you get!
