// A good book, the house to yourself, and big fat reading chair.
// The beach at the end of a work day, cool breezes and no crowds.
// Having friends who live in the same city you do.
// Used book stores with shelves of books crammed full to the ceiling.
// Watching the sunrise.
// Capturing beauty with your camera.
// Fresh produce from the farmer's market.
// Reading chapter books to Little K in a big fat reading chair.
// Thunderstorms at night.
// A shower after a long beach day.
// Face wash that doesn't break your face out.
// Living by the ocean.
// A text that says your requested library book is waiting.
// Dog walking in the morning when the neighborhood is quiet.
What is happiness to you?

I love your list. Anything involving reading and the beach and I am a happy girl! I love morning walks with the pup before the neighboorhood wakes up, so peaceful!
ReplyDeleteBook stores! All of 'em, old and new. And art galleries, especially when no one follows you around and makes you feel guilty for being there with no intention to buy. The beach at sunrise or sunset. Sleeping for 10 hours. Taking a night off to read.
ReplyDeleteYou get a text? That's awesome. I thought I was fancy with an email. Right now with morning temps in the 80s, strong iced coffee makes me incredibly happy...
ReplyDeleteYes to all of these things!!!! Some more happiness for me - the smell of a great candle burning, doggy kisses and snuggles, hearing my four year old nephews laughing, a great cup of coffee. And that picture...oh that picture makes me want the beach so hard right now! Next week at this time, I will be half way to Gulf Shores. Not like I am counting down or anything. (second by second)
ReplyDeleteYes!!! It's been a long time since I've done one of these. I should do an update. Like you said, it might be different.
ReplyDeleteI wish I got the library text, but the email also makes me feel like dancing.
I really like this post. It's like a giant gratitude list. I'll be posting mine next week! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteSo did you compare lists? That would have been interesting! What's making me happy right now is making a friend who lives on the same street, a day off tomorrow, and cooler temps. I also love capturing a great photo, thunderstorms, and the email that says your book is ready to be picked up!
ReplyDeleteat my old work, there was an old bookstore right around the corner filled with books...i escaped there every day to just peruse the aisles and inhale that amazing book scent!
