Friday - First thing Friday morning I decided it was time to stock up on my summer reads so I bought all kinds of goodies from my favorite online used bookstore half.com. I've got 6 beach books on the way for about $21, can't beat it!! Also on Friday the President's Day outlets sales started, ever since last year's trip I knew I would spend this year's trip buying school clothes. Yes I might be a little bit early BUT the winter stuff is on clearance and the summer stuff is 50% off this weekend, I'm not going to find deals that good in July/August. So 9 long sleeve shirts, 8 short sleeve shirts, 2 pair of leggings, 1 pair of jeans, and 1 pair of purple pants later I had only spent $130. As a reward I picked up a large jar Yankee Candle from the outlet, hello Golden Sands let's get summer started!
Saturday - Happy Valentine's Day, while Tyson said "Let's not buy each other anything" and I agreed he came home with two charms for my Pandora bracelet. I know I'm getting old because I didn't even feel one bit guilty that all I picked up for him was a card, I deserve to be spoiled in my old age damn it. This is where the five year old with the fever came in, so no swim class and no driving to a Walmart in NC for Girl Scout cookies. Why can't I find any fucking girls scout cookies closer than a Walmart 45 minutes away!?! Anyhoo, I took myself to the library and picked up The Secret Life of Violet Grant and some books for the sick kid. Then I proceeded to spend the rest of the day reading said book while sick kid lounged in bed watching TV.
Sunday - It was C.O.L.D. on Sunday, it never felt above freezing all day and the wind was gusting close to 40 MPH. Screw you winter!! I had prepared for this cold by stocking up on every necessary item I could think of so I wouldn't have to leave the house. I spent all day in PJ's and finished The Secret Life of Violet Grant, and that my friends is when I knew I had had a great weekend!
How was your weekend?
Kelli

Love the first photo, very rustic! Woo hoo on more books & scoring deals on clothes :). It snowed a bit on Valentine's Day. We had a very nice dinner out. And Sunday, we threw a surprise party for 3 co workers who were celebrating milestones & promotions. Good times!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Violet Grant a lot.
ReplyDeleteExcellent scores on the books and clothes! When I still bought books a lot I used half.com all the time.
And I hope little K is feeling better!
ReplyDeleteHope she is feeling better. A day spent in Pajama's is pretty awesome though. I am spending today reading all day.
ReplyDeleteHope she feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great deal on clothes! I can't buy Erica clothes that far in advance anymore because I have no idea how fast she's going to grow. Makes me sad because the outlets are only an hour from my house and I'd love to do all my shopping there. I hate the mall.
Sometimes a girl just deserves to get spoiled with gifts! :)
