Sea La Vie - 4/14
// Right now it feels like t-ball is dominating my life which is cool I enjoy t-ball, softball, baseball and all things related as long as I don't have to watch it on TV. K's first two games were this week, the coaches wife mentioned to me half way through the first game we were the only one's cheering. I didn't even notice and told her so also adding that I didn't care if the other parents thought of me as the crazy person in the K's mom shirt. Kids need to be cheered on, I'm not there for parent social hour.
// I meant to confess this week but ran out of time and confessions. My main confessions were book related, in that I returned The Passenger and another book unstarted to the library because I ran out of time. That being said I've decided to give the library a break until t-ball is over so now I'm not reading what I already have. I added a Stephen King book to my reading list on Goodreads but I've yet to read any of it.
// This weekend is looking like a nice one so I'm hoping to catch up with my long lost friend the beach. I was thinking this morning it's been ages since I've been across the dunes and sat staring at the waves for an afternoon, it's about time spring got itself together so I can start doing that on a regular weekend basis.
This story about how internet IP mapping turns certain addresses into places that become a nightmare to live in was fascinating. Book hangover after Tuesday? Why not check out these 9 Websites for Readers Who Think About Books All Day, Every Day? I never find weird things washed ashore on my beach but that didn't mean I wasn't interested in a list of weird things other people have found.
Happy Weekending!

Ummmm why go and watch your kids play sports if you aren't going to cheer for them? That is crazy!!! At my nephew's baseball games, every single parent is out there clapping and cheering each and every kid on the team. And when they miss or mess up, you can hear a few parents yell its ok insert name here you will get them next time! That sort of makes me sad that more aren't.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty sad if parents aren't cheering their kids on... good for you guys for doing it! :) I'm pretty excited about the sunshine and warm temps we'll have this weekend. It's no beach- but I'll take it for now!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking I should go down the shore this weekend, but I really need to just chill and not make that drive. I'll be making it every week this summer.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why more parents aren't cheering? I know I will be the crazy mom at my kids' games, Brian already said I may be banned hahaha
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I always sucked at every sport I did, and I knew it, but it would have broke my heart if my mom wasn't paying attention! She was never a crazy cheerleader or yeller, but she always had her eyes on me.
ReplyDeleteWhich Stephen King?? And why aren't you allowed to cheer? Weird other parents!
ReplyDeletedefinitely checking out that readers who think about books all day link. i had to give the library a break as well. i have so many books i own that i have to read that i could read my own books for a year and still have some left over. it's ridiculous.
ReplyDeletei'm with you on the library books; had to return 4 unread because i just have no time :(
ReplyDeleteI agree with you 100% about t-ball games shouldn't be parental social hours. Do they not see the huge smiles on the kids' faces who get cheers??
ReplyDeleteOff to check out that link about booklovin' websites........
