Sea La Vie - 12/3

Kelli Things - I'm joining Erin's Book Challenge and I need you to tell me your favorite books, I asked my Facebook friends and was pretty underwhelmed with my choices so I'm counting on you Blogland to give me great book suggestions. In other Kelli news my kid refused a sleepover with her grandmother stealing away my joyful plans for me time, good thing there's an ocean front Christmas on my horizon.

Kid Things - The kid has been home sick again this week, I really need her to get better and go back to school. Summer is going to be rough. In other kid news my daughter turned 6 and we had a spider-man birthday party at Chick-fil-a, while my kid was playing inside the play place with her friends the Chick-fil-a lady noticed her pile of presents and asked how old my son was. That's how it goes when your the mom of a cute little tomboy.

Book Things - I finished enough books that I can actually link up with Steph and Jana again next week! I've also started reading any beachy Christmas book I can get my hands on, I love the warm weather but it makes getting in the holiday spirit a little hard.

Beach Things - We spent Thanksgiving and the day after enjoying the warm weather on the beach. Then last Saturday after K's birthday party we watched the Christmas boat parade, one of my favorite parts of beach living. My pictures are still a little blurry but much better than the cell phone shots of years past! I plan on spending some time with my camera getting some Christmasy beach pictures over the next few weeks, such a fun time of year here.

Did you like Serial last year? Now get the book and keep your guilty/not guilty theories going. I was a little upset when I found out how young text messaging is this week, happy birthday to my favorite form of communication! I wanted to know what my favorite Christmas cookies said about me but sadly mom's sour cream drop cookies did not make the list, so that just means I'm unique. Sarcasm, my favorite language, turns out it makes me a better person too!

Happy Weekending!

  3. My cookie says I am painfully unoriginal. Rude!!! My favorite books lately have been anything Liane Moriarty! I can't stop reading all of her books. They are amazing! Which I guess we already talked about this week but thought it was worth mentioning again. Hope you have a great weekend!

  4. Agree with Million Little Pieces & Kathy's reasoning above, as well as Owen Meany. Beach Music is one of my perennial favorites too.

  5. Not sure if I can help on the books but I really like Margaret Atwood, so The Handmaid's Tale and Cat's Eye get my thumbs up.
