Let's Chat

It's been a while and I feel like we need to catch up so let's chat, I'll tell you what's been going on in my world since we last met and you comment with what I've missed from you!

It's hard to believe my last post was on May 12th, I don't think I even responded to those comments yet although I fully intend too. May 12th was the day I got sick again, it wasn't fun or pretty. I even missed my birthday weekend, which I'm pretty sure means I'm still 37. Silver linings!

I got better in time for my sister to come and I spent my vacation recuperating and finally enjoying a little beach time. I enjoyed it so much my sunburned scalp is now peeling, super sexy I know. We also outlet shopped and played mini golf because I "never" take my kid to do that and since she waited so long between her birthday and vacation we would need to teach her all over again. Shit my kid says *sigh*.

I spent a Saturday with girlfriends I've known since elementary school. No matter what else is going on in life I feel like you should never miss a kid you've known since birth's high school graduation. I'm glad I made the trip even if I was afraid it might be awkward, I love those girls. Who else knows you like a high school friend knows you?

I play dated with my new friend (hi new friend!), she's the best! I feel like I never have to pretend to be someone I'm not with her and she still likes me. That's a damn good friend! Oh and she loves books like I love books, book lovers unite!

Although I almost missed the deadline I submitted 5 pictures for printing in next years Town Planner Calendar which is mailed to all Horry and Georgetown County addresses. That's a LOT of people looking at my pictures. Fingers crossed at least one gets chosen!

Finally the tomatoes and peppers I planted are flourishing and I should have a real garden salad in a few more weeks. Yayyyyy for fresh veggies grown by moi.

What's been happening in your world?

Kelli

  5. Hooooray for fresh garden salads! My old neighbors in Philly (weird, right in the city) had a vegetable garden, and they always shared. Loved it. Enjoy the fruits (and veggies! ha!) of your labor.

I would say that same thing little K said to you about mini golf to Steve.

Your pictures are always awesome and it makes me smile to know that more people are getting to see them and understand how great of a photographer you are. I'm not wishing you luck they'll be picked because I know they will be.
